Rugby – Italy Plays the All Blacks at the Olimpico Stadium

Italy’s rugby team plays an eagerly awaited test match against New Zealand at Rome’s Olimpico Stadium. They face the All Blacks, winners of the last World Cup, on Saturday, 17 November in one of the most magnificent locations of world sport.
The New Zealanders have been the most feared team since the mid-1980s, but also the best loved by rugby fans, particularly because of their traditional propitiatory Haka dance, which they perform before each match. Italy’s team is making great strides, though, and will do their best to put the world champions on the defensive, as they did in 2009 at San Siro. Our team has helped to fuel a national passion for the sport, with its combination of physical strength, speed and tactical intelligence, among an increasingly large audience.
In 2013 Jacques Brunel’s team will also meet the other leading teams for test matches at the Olimpico Stadium. The match with France takes place on 3 February at 4 p.m., with Wales on 23 February at 3 p.m., and with Ireland on 16 March at 3.30 p.m. To see the four matches, including the one on 17 November, you can buy a season ticket at a discounted price, thanks to an arrangement with Roma Capitale, from the Stadium ticket office or from one of the approved ticket sellers.
