Rome: the most green city in all Europe

What’s better than taking a break from the chaos and traffic of the city, taking a nap under a tree, breathing clean air and spending time in one of the various parks of the “most green city in all Europe”.
The large areas, partly flat and partly hilly, extending around the city, are covered by parks, gardens, pine forests and numerous reserves for approximately 52.000 hectares of rural areas.
For pleasure or to spend a relaxing afternoon, lying on the grass in the tranquility of the Roman spring sunshine, we recommend you some of the major parks that inwards house also museums and attractions for every type of visitor.

Rome Municipal Rose Garden

One of the most romantic gardens of Rome, is open only in spring to coincide with the flowering period (April/June). From here you can enjoy a splendid view of the Circus Maximus and Palatine hill, forgetting the confusion of the metropolis.

The botanical garden of Rome

The botanical garden, with its twelve acres of park and about 2,000 square meters of greenhouses, is one of the largest in Italy. It is also equipped to receive guests with disabilities and blind men who can appreciate the beauty of the park through the “perfume garden”, through the classification of plants and their origin, shown also in braille.
