From Livorno Port to Pisa and Florence

From Livorno port we will take you to two marvelous cities of Tuscany region, famous worldwide for its food and wine, landscape, artistic and cultural wonders.

First stage of our tour is Pisa, renowned in the whole world for its bizarre leaning tower, but boasting also many interesting historic churches, various medieval palaces and charming bridges across the Arno river. The roots of one of the Italian maritime republics are very ancient and go back to the Greeks and  the Etruscans. A must- see of our tour is Piazza dei Miracoli, recognised as an important center of European medieval art and one of the finest architectural complexes in the world. It is dominated by four great edifices among which the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa, which involuntary tilt had made it unique and astonishing.

After Pisa we can move towards Florence, one of world’s most important cities from an artistic and cultural point of view. The world’s finest works of art indeed are located in Italy and approximately half of these are in Florence. The cultural and historical impact of Florence is overwhelming. The Medici family brought to its Court all the most important Italian Renaissance artists, and completely changed this amazing city, turning Florence into one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Our tour will start from Michelangelo Square, where you could have a breathtaking view on the city. Then we will drive down to Santa Croce Church where are buried many eminent Italian artists such as: Michelangelo, Galilei, etc.
