Most Romantic restaurants in Rome – our top 4

Are you hungry enough? We want to talk you about most romantic restaurants in Rome. A restaurant is more than food, more than go out with your friends, your family or your fiancè, is an experience to live at various levels that definitely changes your perspective, mood and makes your day. Rome boasts plenty of extraordinary restaurants either as regards as venues or referring to gorgeous food, service, design. We have chosen just five that have something special to experience an unforgettable dinner in the eternal city. Not only panoramic and starry ones, but most romantic restaurants for a dinner with your sweetheart, to fall in love even more.

Casa Coppelle, Piazza delle Coppelle, 49 (Navona Square/Pantheon)
One of the most outstanding I have seen recently. Not a usual restaurant, but a living room of other times in the heart of the eternal city, few meters by walking from Pantheon. It offers a classy menu in collaboration with the starry chef Emiliano Pascucci. All of their fruit and vegetables are organic and “from farm to table”. From tasty patè to more typical but revisited recipes like fresh paccheri “dismantled” amatriciana paccheri or ravioli filled with ricotta and aubergines to perfectly represent its double French-Italian soul. Desserts are super too. Try “Attorno al verde”: lime cream, pistachio dacquoise, pineapple and basil. www.casacoppelle.com

Rome

Colbert, Viale della Trinità dei Monti, 1 (Spanish Steps/Trinità dei Monti)
Another superb venue in the old town center of Rome. A bistro with a splendid view located on Villa Medici, the seat of the French Academy in Rome. It perfectly suits for a couple who wants to go out for lunch, with its interior ideal for a prince. Colbert is open until 7 pm except Thursdays. The well-known chef Arcangelo Dandini will delight you with gourmet and traditional Roman dishes like handmade cacio e pepe pici. You have to try also the desserts (cakes, biscuits, cupcakes) by Fonderia. http://www.caffecolbert.it/

Rio Restaurant Week 2012 no La Finestra

Madeleine, via Monte Santo, 64 (Prati area)
A charming bistro inspired to old Parisian brasseries with a timeless atmosphere with refined details like antique miniatures or unique pieces of pottery. In the stylish Rione Prati, famous Madeleine restaurant boasts a young and professional staff. Make your love try raw shrimp on the Panzanella, a gourmet product mixed with a traditional and rustic bread dish from Central Italy. Risotto with wild herbs and truffle is mouthwatering as well. Desserts, as suggested by the name, are a strong point too. You will find 10 of them every night. It is open daily from 8 a.m. until 2 a.m (from breakfast to tea and dinner). http://www.madeleinerome.com

casa coppelle.

La Maisonnette, Via Giacinto Pullino, 103 (Garbatella/Ostiense area)
In the heart of the popular and ancient Garbatella district, one of the most fascinating of the city, it presents a simple interior, as the names suggests, that sounds like home and the exterior with tables and chairs of wrought iron with a noteworthy urban scenography emphasized by its closeness to the always enlights Ponte della Musica. Good wines to accompany with the seasonal and fresh menu offering excellent dishes like the roe deer tartare with pecorino cheese porcini mushrooms and octopus. It is open every day from 11 am to 2 pm for lunch, aperitif and dinner. http://lamaisonnetteristrot.it/
