Ecowater reusable bottle
The water in Rome is famous for being completely drinkable, cold and pleasant-tasting, with excellent organoleptic properties, like the water flowing from the fountains in via nazzareno or via della scrofa. While visiting the city, tourists drink on average about two small bottle bottles of water a day, but in the hot and heavy roman summer the number rises to four or five. Hence Ecowater, the reusable bottle, which helps to reduce the consumption and disposal of plastic, cutting costs and lowering the enviromental impact. At a cost of just 2 euros, foldable and so taking up very little space, this environmentally friendly bottle has been designed with tourists in mind but is perfect for everyone and especially for sport. Fill it up for free with roman water flowing from the 2 thousand old drinking fountains ( 280 of which are inside the aurelian walls), the typical “nasoni” with their curved spouts.

Ecowater is on sale in the bookshops of all the municipal museums and at the tourist information point at the forum. It carries the logo of roma capitale, images of the colosseum, the roman aqueduct and the unmistakable drinking fountains, making it fun gadget and memento of the city to take home and use. The idea, developed by rome’s town council, combines three important concepts: ecology, usefulness for tourists and savings for city.
