A fast drive down Autostrada del Sole through Umbria and Tuscany brings you to Montepulciano.

This town is very famous for its wine production all around tuscany region. The Vino Nobile di Montepulciano has Denominazione di origine controllata (D.O.C.) e granted status and is, with the Brunello di Montalcino and Chianti Classico, one of the principal red wines of Tuscany. The Rosso di Montepulciano and Vin Santo di Montepulciano have Denominazione di origine controllata status D.O.C. as well.

Sandy & Phil welcome you to Relais Ortaglia – their Villa in the Montepulciano Countryside for a Traditional Tuscan BBQ on their panoramic BBQ Infinity deck in the vineyard with stunning views of Monte Amiata (our ancient volcano)!
Our scrumptious private lunch will consist of multiple courses, with a VIP Sommelier led Vino Nobile wine tasting.

The menu is subject to change with the seasons and what is fresh daily.  A traditional BBQ of course has Bistecca Fiorentina cooked over an open flame to a perfect rare presentation; we also grill sausages, pork, chicken and all of the vegetables growing in our garden, as well as, some famous Tuscan sides including Tuscan beans and roasted rosemary potatoes and lets not forget dessert!

Plus Italian coffee and some of our very own Nocino (a homemade walnut liquor from Relais Ortaglia’s organic walnut trees)!  Lunch is for a min. of 4 people, around 3.5 hours  as long it takes to sit, MANGIA! & Enjoy the meal.

Important: This experience has to be confirmed with the Owner of the Relais Ortaglia. In case they have no availability for their Delicious Lunch, Italy Rome Tour has the right to Cancel this Day trip from Rome to Montepulciano.

If this happen we can arrange a different itinerary. We will inform you in less that 24 hours.

You can cancel up to 72 hours ( 3 DAYS ) in advance of the experience for a full refund.

For a full refund, you must cancel at least 72 hours before the experience’s start time. If you cancel less than 72 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will NOT be refunded. Any changes made less than 72 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted. Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
