Christmas World opens in Rome: all the magic of Christmas around the world at Villa Borghese
After the great success of 2021 at the Auditorium Parco della Musica, Lux Eventi has announced that Christmas World, starting this year, will be organized in the most prestigious historical park in Rome, Villa Borghese.
The Rockefeller Center ice rink, the illuminated Eiffel Tower, the snow-capped Bavarian houses, the lights on the Thames and Santa Claus’ village at the North Pole: the splendid park of Villa Borghese, the green jewel of monumental Rome, turns into a journey Christmas around the globe between New York, Paris, Berlin, Tokyo, Rome, London and the North Pole.

From December 3rd to January 8th in the Galoppatoio area, Christmas World will transport adults and children on a journey to discover the Christmas traditions spread all over the planet: an immersive experience in the most important and eagerly awaited celebration of the year through activities, concerts, entertainment and a Christmas parade that will take place every day in the tree-lined avenues of the most beautiful park in the capital.
New York will be represented by the reproduction of the famous Rockefeller Center ice skating rink, Germany by the Brandenburg gate and typical Bavarian markets, Paris by the Eiffel Tower, London by Big Ben and Westminster, Tokyo by its oriental atmospheres, Rome by carousel in classic style and from the stalls of piazza Navona, the North Pole from the village of Santa Claus.
Santa Claus will be present every day at Christmas World with his thick white beard, his red suit, his colorful cheeks and his very famous “oh, oh, oh…”. Children will be able to personally deliver the letter to him and express their wishes.
To welcome them there will be a real Christmas village with all the official Santa Claus team: the elves who produce toys for children from all over the world, a large 15-metre tree decorated with lights and colored balls and the team of reindeer led by the legendary “Renata”, the reindeer who drives Santa’s sleigh.
A gigantic Christmas park of 30,000 square meters that wants to replicate the success recorded last year at the Auditorium when there were more than 300,000 visitors. In this Christmas 2023 now without limitations, the setting of Villa Borghese adds a sense of further magic, given the naturalistic and monumental beauty of the location.
Among the many novelties this year, the Holiday Street, an entire street characterized by a succession of scenic boxes inside which there are pop-style settings, linked to the theme of the Christmas holidays, where you can indulge in a snap for social media . The Safari area is also new, a bright zoo inhabited by animals made with the skilful technique of Zigong lanterns, in which all children, thanks to costumes and props to wear, will experience an adventure as the perfect explorer.
