What Is a Shared Tour?

Our Sicily excursions are small. Instead of a large charter bus, you’ll be chauffeured around the island in a luxury Mercedes minivan. You can either create a group (perhaps you’ve met some new friends on your cruise who would also like to explore Sicily). Or you can choose to join an already created group that has open spots.
Our shared shore tours in Sicily offer the same personal, high-end service that you would typically find on a private excursion. The big difference? You will pay less per person when joining one of our small shared tours, as the cost is split among group members.
Discover Sicily
We will start the Sicily excursion by picking you up from your port or accommodations. We will then whisk you away for a day of delightful sightseeing on this fascinating and picturesque Mediterranean island. At the conclusion of the tour, our driver will take you back to your ship or accommodations.
Some of the highlights of our tours include:
- Aristocratic Sicily: Visit the Mirto Palace and Villa Malfitano, a 19th-century rural palace. We will also stop in Mondello, a well-known seaside resort. For this tour, pickup and drop-off service is available from the port of Palermo.
- Taormina and Mount Etna: Take a drive up Mount Etna, the most active volcano in Europe. You will also get a chance to explore Taormina, “the pearl of the Ionian Sea.” This charming village sits on a hill overlooking the Ionian Sea and is home to a well-preserved Greek-Roman theater. This tour is available from the Messina Port.
- Mysterious Palermo: The capital of Sicily is a fascinating destination, and you’ll really get a chance to see and enjoy a lot of what this city has to offer on this shared tour. For example, we will take you to see the Crypt of the Capuchins, which contains 8,000 bodies. Our driver will also take you up 1,800-foot Monte Pellegrino, so you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the entire city. This tour is available from the Palermo Port.
- The Godfather Tour: This is a must-do trip for any true fan of “The Godfather” movie. On this tour, our driver will take you to several locations where scenes from this classic movie were shot. Pickup and drop-off service for this tour is available from the Messina, Taormina and Naxos ports.
