To coincide with the day of Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 12, the Radisson Blu Hotel in Rome hosts starting at 6:00 PM chefs specialize in gluten-free cooking: it is the appointment with the CeliChef trophy that is born from an initiative of AIC Lazio in collaboration with the Italian Federation of Chefs and Cooks Italian Federation of the Lazio Region, in order to show that gluten-free cooking today is also good.
The AIC is a structure that works through volunteers and is kept alive by membership fees. Manufactures sporting, cultural, information about celiac disease, plays lobbying institutions because the rights of celiac are increasingly recognized and selected restaurants, hotels and local “gluten free” and, therefore, suitable for coeliacs.
The trophy is now in its fourth edition, and each year has a different theme: after a series of tests for the selection of the best chefs, the finalists will be invited to the Radisson Blu to prepare the dishes on the spot and make them taste and evaluate selected by a jury.

The gluten-free dishes are free of gluten, a protein found in many grains glue such as wheat, kamut, barley, and so on. This year, gluten-free, to meet the challenge must present two fundamental characteristics: focus on the use of vegetables, and be quick to prepare. Haute cuisine, yes, but the taste of home. Members of the jury, in fact, will not only experienced chefs, but also mothers, who will watch on a combination of taste, quality and preparation time. Participation in the trophy as the public is free of charge, and will follow after dinner.
