If you are interested in learning more than just the basic facts about the Vatican, I would recommend a tour with Max Parini. He is extremely knowledgeable, engaging, and seems to genuinely enjoy what he does. The details of the Sistine Chapel were especially interesting. If I make it back to Rome I will be sure to set up a new tour with him.
