“Don’t look any further—use Max!!” 
Four of us were on a cruise ship and only had one day in Rome. I contacted Max and he responded promptly via email with our options and prices. I had done extensive research on tour companies, but decided to use Max, and I am SO GLAD. We loved him! He personally picked us up from the boat and drove us to Rome. We were able to beat the cruise crowd to the Vatican and he gave us an excellent tour. Then he drove us around Rome, showing us various “must sees” on our way to a fantastic restaurant for lunch. After lunch, he took us on an in depth tour of the inside of the Colliseum. It was fascinating. We then went to the Trevi fountain and he told us how to correctly throw the coin (it has to be a coin given to you directly by a Roman. You take it in your right hand and throw it over your left shoulder—he of course gave us our coins so we could do it according to tradition). We stopped by the Circus Maximus on the way back to the boat for another photo op. It was an awesome day! We saw too much for me to mention in this review, but believe me, I feel satisfied that I saw Rome in a day. He even helped us arrange a transfer for our upcoming stop in Venice. I love, love, love Max! He was professional, courteous, friendly, a safe driver (a great compliment given that the driving in Rome is CRAZY!). If you use him, and I hope you will, you will not be disappointed. If I am ever in Rome again, I will definitely call him up to do more of his tours.
