Fori Imperiali, Saturday night white theater, art and music

Acrobats, street performers, music, theater pieces, but also dancers, videos and photos projected on monuments and a tightrope walker who will walk on a tightrope above the Roman ruins. It is the Night of the Forum, Saturday, Aug. 3 event with which the Capitol has decided to inaugurate the pedestrian dei Fori Imperiali. The evening is dedicated to Renato Nicolini and to remember him at 23.45 the public lights will be switched off and shows will stop.

The beginning of the ‘White Night in archaeological version is expected at 21.30 with a greeting from the mayor of Rome Ignazio Marino and the President of the Lazio Region Zingaretti. Then at the start of the shows: the theater piece ‘Shakespeare loves Romè in the Forum of Caesar to the acrobatics of’ La Ballade de Bergerac ‘in front of the Colosseum, the performance of the tightrope walker Andrea Loreni with a walk on suspended Fori Imperiali, a video projection on history of Rome up to the performance of the Symphony Orchestra of Santa Cecilia. It will also be an evening of visits (citizens have free access Fori) and discussions with historians, archaeologists and planners including former superintendent of State Adriano La Regina and Claudio Strinati, and actors such as Pierfrancesco Field bean, Maximum Popolizio, Anna Bonaiuto. During the ‘Night of the holes will remember also the writer Vincenzo Cerami, who died recently.
