Alberto Moravia House Museum in the Prati District

Alberto Moravia moved to the apartment building on Lungotevere della Vittoria in the early 1960s. His flat remains exactly as it was then, and it has now become the Casa Museo Alberto Moravia, a centre for research and documentation on the
writer’s life and work (part of Roma Capitale’s System of Civic Museums) and home of the Associazione Fondo Alberto Moravia. Over 15,000 documents are kept there, including letters, newspapers and manuscripts, to which new material is constantly added. There is also an important collection of masks and traditional objects collected by Moravia during his many trips to Africa, Asia and South America.
